My Quest For Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Retail
Ok so as some of you know, I am not the biggest fan of M$. But who cares, they have some weird policies yes, but get over that for a little bit with me. They make some pretty nice software. I mean do you even remember what we used to use before windows came out?
I can vaguely remember my Apple IIe computer which ran, um god knows what. Anywho, I am on a quest to save up to buy a legit version of Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Retail. Yes I said retail, none of this oem stuff or anything like that. With how many times I redo my system, with formats and whatever other hacks… I will definitely be utilizing the installation of this software a few times.
Go here to learn what the specific differences are with Windows Vista Retail and OEM.
Thats the benefit of Vista Retail, you have the right to have it installed and reinstalled as many times as you wish, but you can only have it installed on one machine at a time. It’s just like any other product. I’m not sure why or how an operating system can be sold any way but this. Think about it, it’s like buying a CD that you can only play in the original CD player that you put it into. Weird.
But I just pretend that this is the only one available and despite it’s high price tag, it’s the only one ‘out there’ for me. I ignore the other OEM’s and upgrades and whatever other version of Vista Microsoft has fabricated.
I am really interested to utilize my computer’s hardware, as the processor is 64 bit, so of course why not get a 64 bit OS. BRILLIANT! (Guiness)
